I placed a small stuffed redbird inside the casket with my mother. She loved those birds so much. Soon after the funeral I was sitting at my desk looking out the window crying. Suddenly a redbird appeared on a tree limb outside the window. He sat there and chirped his heart out for a full 5 minutes before he flew away. I knew in my heart it was a sign from my mother. Can't tell you how many times I waited for that bird to reappear but he never did. The bird I placed in my mother's casket also chirped. Gave it to her for Christmas a few years before she died and she loved it. So YES, I knew the redbird outside my window had to be a sign from her. I get goosebumps just thinking about it now!
