Do not let this spook you at all. It had to be someone visiting you in spirit. I have heard my name being called also.
It was a few weeks after my mama passed, I was lying on the couch and I heard plain as day JoAnn, it was so real I even got up and went to check the doors to be sure no one was there. My brother also heard his name being called, we know it was our mother.
The day before my husband's and my anniversary I was at the computer I heard a "Hey" I know without a doubt it was my husband getting my attention.
Peg, even though you did not recognize the voice it probably happened so fast, and even though we know it was our mother the voice was just a female voice, did not really sound like she did while here.
Peg,our loved ones on the Otherside do not reach out to frighten us but to comfort us, so just relax and know you are loved.
