Do you get anxiety attacks? (I do.) They aren't fun. Sometimes I find myself holding my breath in, which makes it worse and literally tell myself, "Breathe! In...Out." and then say outloud, "One step at a time...Just take one MOMENT at a time..."
Then, I go find something to do that's animal related. Busy work. We have a small farm, so there's always something that needs doing....But the animals tend to bring focus back and pull me outside of my inner downward spiral.
