It's never easy. Our fellow, "Shed", was a 15 yr. old yellow lab mix. He had cancer tumors, but ultimately it was a stroke that hit. He's been failing for several weeks, but was still moving around and his favorite time of day was feeding time.
Last night I had a dream visit from my husband's cousin and best childhood friend who died while attending veterinary school in Colorado..... long story....I woke up wondering why Gary had come into my dream so suddenly. But when I got up and discovered our dog I figured it out.
We called our former foster daughter who works for a vet to make arrangements and shortly after my Gang gave me their Angel Number of 11:11.......They were close.
Shed was ready...He left his body before the drug was fully administered. Bless him.
