My grandmother, a fraternal twin, was in one nursing home her twin sister was in another nursing home. One afternoon my aunt who had dementia, rolled her wheelchair up to the nurses station. She then stated her sister had just died and then went back to her room. A few minutes later the nurses station got a call from the other nursing home my grandmother was at to let them know to inform her twin sister that she had just died. But she already knew this.
