Denise, I like the advice your brother's ex said: "Care, but don't carry." It's hard for Empaths to keep to that. (I know.) But there are ways you can protect yourself and still care AND send healing. Not sure if it's allowed to mention on here, but I'll say it anyway.... Do you know about Reiki?
