Pat, what a wonderful communication from your Husband. I believe he was showing you that even though his physical body is gone, he now has a perfect spirit body, and can be with you always. That peace you felt is so wonderful , almost unexplainable, as it can't be found in this hectic world we live in. I felt it once after Donnie passed and it still remains with me today.
